I remember in the preseason reading an article that stated in the AL East, the best ;pitching staff belonged to the Tampa Bay Rays. What kind of smoke was this writer expelling? The Rays better that the Sox from Bean Town. Well, tonight starts a 3 game series in the great city of Boston and the Rays are on a roll as well as the Bosox. I've been a fan of the Sox sin ce the 40's and have suffered many a season, until recently. However, the Rays have not had a winning season since they came into the league, I believe 12 years ago. So, to hell with the Sox. Go Rays and lets see a Florida Wor.ld Series with youse and the Marlins. Did I say youse? Forgive me as an old New Englander would never use the word "youse". Sounds like something that would come from the Bronyx and we all know what smell is e mitting from that area.

I'll forgive you for using "youse" because, hey, it's used by some Bostonians depending on what neighborhood they live in. (Same here in RI...but, it depends on the town.)
Rays and Sox...sort of like oil and water. For some reason, the two teams really don't like each other and so many games will resort to "drama". It doesn't even have to do with the fans (that's reserved for Yankees/Sox match-ups).
I dunno...I don't know if I'd care to see the Rays "make it". Like the Rockies, they don't even have enough fans to really care...although, a great season might increase their fan base. The dugout has lost some appeal...yeah, there's coaching and management talent there, but the colorful antics and personalities that were once there now are missing. I just don't see or feel any excitement. (Hey, I did enjoy their ballpark....er, balldome...that was exciting, but there's something lacklustre about the Rays at home, away, with the fans, etc.)
You are right aabout the fans of the Rays. Most Fla fans do not get excited a bout t heir teams until they get into the playoffs. However, the word "youse" is definitely a New Yawk terminolgy. Take it from an old resident of New England for 30 years before transplanting to Fla. Go Rays and Go Sox. Hope to see both of them in the post season.
