WE must be golfing nuts as we did get in the l8 and went back out wednesday and got in another l8.  We had rain, rain, and more rain on thursday, the 2lst as that darn old Fay hung around too long.  Got almost 17 inches for the week.  Great for the lake.

We lucked out and  got in 18 holes, although we were the only 2 "nuts" out there.  Outside of 3 holes in which we had to take shelter, it was not too bad.  No gators in sight, although I have seen a few of them on other courses that we have played.

I'm in my 60's and have never felt betrayed by my government, until the current crop of persons came into power and missused our trust to enhance their own fortunes.  I do not like Obama, due to his flip flopping and lack of experience.  I do however, listen to his speeches that due have a calming affect on the public.  If the Replicans win, it will be by Rove tactics and smearing the man will probably be the tactic of the Mc Cain staff.  Kind of sad to see our political process become engaged in so much mudslinging.

I agree with your perspective on the "game."  My partner and I play 3 times a week and enjoy the game  as we do not take it serious.  If we did, then we would not enjoy it at all and I would get upset with her method of keeping score of her "game", as she only counts the strokes that  are well hit balls, out of the 2 or 3 that she may be playing.

But, TV wants these games so that they can justify the big bucks that they paid out in order to bring you these wonderful moments of  pigskin magic.

What you say has some credence to it.  However, after a while, what Favre says gets to his teammates and they begin to wonder just what in the hell is this gut all about.  So, management understands this and reacts to his showboatedness by calling  his bluff and shipping his ass out of their division and to the Jets!  The NY press is just salivating over their new headliner.  Good luck to  Favre as  he is going  to need it.

It is easier said than done, but the power of positive thinking is something to strive for and push for on a daily, if not hourly basis.  I also feel lthat a fine glass or red wine, toyour choice, will also help you with the  daily nuances.  Positively positive will help you.

I agree with you and to add a little extra zing to our grden salads, we have fresh basil pots on our deck that add so much flavor.  Also like for the pesto sauce that we will have at the end of the season.
